That effort is set to wrap up in the fall. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The improvements build on others at the 1.4 million square-foot mall, according to a statement from operator Trademark Property last month. Upgrades include remodeling the ice-skating center, renovating restrooms and the addition of party rooms for celebrations, community events and business meetings.<\/p>\n<p>The mall has filed for $6.2 million in improvements, including a new northwest entrance and plaza, according to state filings. Upgrades to the ice rink include new\u00a0signage band, work on walls around a new seating areas, new floor finishes, painting and decorative film applied to glass guardrails.<\/p>\n<p>Galleria Dallas has seen investments and new tenants even as it prepares for the exit of Nordstrom, a longtime anchor. A key addition came in December with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/retail\/2025\/12\/10\/netflix-house-opens-thursday-with-stranger-things-kpop-demon-hunters-more-fan-favorites\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">addition of Netflix House<\/a>, an events center featuring titles and characters from the streaming service. It covers over 100,000 square feet and is one of just two such sites in the country. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur work at Galleria Dallas continues to prove that when a center invests in creative placemaking and the right merchandising mix, it thrives,\u201d said Terry Montesi, CEO at Trademark, in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the nearly eight years Trademark has leased and managed\u00a0Galleria Dallas, our focus on upgrading the tenancy and integrating activated public space that enhances community engagement has heightened the center\u2019s role as a key destination for locals and visitors alike.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Galleria\u00a0saw the most traffic in December since Placer.AI began tracking visits in 2017, with a 14.3% increase year-over-year. Last year, the mall reached the highest sales per square foot in the center\u2019s more than four decades.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And there is action with other tenants. Aritzia, a brand love by celebrities, is set to open in the fall while others that have joined the shopping center include Urban Planet by Charlotte Russe, a trend-focused fashion brand offering affordable styles, Kids Foot Locker and Watson, which gives shoppers lots of options for men, including sneakers and sweatsuits.
