Authorities say a hazardous materials incident that left two men dead and a firefighter hospitalized on Thursday involved a large amount of suspected liquid methamphetamine.<\/p>\n
The incident happened on Delga Street near the North Freeway frontage road, where a black van crashed into a parked car. One man was found dead inside the vehicle, and the driver later died after being pulled from the van.<\/p>\n
Fort Worth police said testing of the contents inside buckets found in the van returned a presumptive positive result for liquid methamphetamine. Investigators estimate the substance weighed about 480 pounds, with a potential street value between $1 million and $3 million.<\/p>\n
Officials have not yet determined how the men died. A firefighter was hospitalized after being exposed to an unknown substance during the response.
