\t\t\t\t\t\t\tWalmart plans to remodel 72 stores across Texas, including several in Dallas-Fort Worth, according to a news release from the company<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s happening? <\/p>\n

The stores that will see updates this year include:<\/p>\n

Allen Walmart Neighborhood Market, 1520 E. Exchange Parkway, AllenDenton Walmart Supercenter, 2750 W. University Drive, DentonMcKinney Walmart Neighborhood Market, 3400 Virginia Parkway, McKinneyPlano Walmart Supercenter, 8801 Ohio Drive, PlanoFort Worth Walmart Supercenter, 3851 Airport Freeway, Fort WorthCustomers will notice wider aisles and updated layouts, new interiors and exteriors with modern signage, improved parking and landscaping, and expanded pickup and delivery services, including free pharmacy delivery for Walmart+ members, per the release.<\/p>\n

The remodeling will incorporate a store-based app experience that helps customers easily navigate the stores, book services at Walmart\u2019s Auto Care Center<\/a> and more, according to the release.<\/p>\n

The updated stores will include products from brands like De\u2019Longhi, Oura, Jessica Simpson and Lemme, and interactive displays that show how products look in homes, per the release.<\/p>\n

The transformed stores will also feature updated pharmacy offerings, including medications, vaccines and other clinical services. Vision Centers<\/a> will have brands like Nike, Calvin Klein and DKNY, along with free cleanings and glasses adjustments, per the release.<\/p>\n

This is a part of an ongoing initiative for Walmart to update its stores to meet customers needs, according to a Walmart spokesperson. The company remodels its stores on a rolling multiyear cycle and invested over $2.5 billion in the past five years to upgrade stores throughout Texas, per the news release.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Walmart Foundation donated $204.5 million to local nonprofits and provided 100.2 million pounds of food to help fight hunger across Texas in the last year, the news release states.<\/p>\n

Walmart\u2019s annual Fight Hunger, Spark Change<\/a> campaign kicked off recently to help address food insecurity locally, according to the release. Every donation and qualifying purchase gives access to food and resources to local food banks.<\/p>\n

Looking ahead<\/p>\n

The remodeling for all the Walmart Supercenters will be completed in mid-to-late summer, according to a Walmart spokesperson.<\/p>\n
