ANTHONY, N.M. (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 City Hall in Anthony, New Mexico, was placed on lockdown during an active law enforcement situation being handled in coordination with the El Paso Police Department.<\/p>\n
Officials with the New Mexico State Police said that deputies with the Do\u00f1a Ana County Sheriff’s Office and troopers with Texas DPS were involved in a pursuit with a man identified as 28-year-old Miguel Anchondo.<\/p>\n
Officers were able to track him to a home in Anthony, where officers are attempting to serve an arrest warrant, officials said. <\/p>\n
All City Hall services were temporarily unavailable. <\/p>\n
Residents were asked to avoid the area while law enforcement conducted operations.<\/p>\n
A woman at the scene said she was the homeowner of the house where authorities are searching.<\/p>\n
She said they are looking for a man. She claims she barely knows the man they are looking for.<\/p>\n
The woman was upset that authorities are taking so long to let her back into her home.<\/p>\n
Officials described the lockdown as a precautionary measure and said updates would be provided as more information becomes available.<\/p>\n
