\nBryan Clay Invitational: Thursday, April 16 \u2013 Friday, April 17 (Azusa, California)
\nIn California, junior Matro Jepkemboi<\/a> set the new program record in the women’s outdoor 10K with a personal best time of 34:10.78 on Thursday morning. Senior Alex Kalmar<\/a> set the new UTA program record in the men’s outdoor 800m with a time of 1:46.86, ranking top 10 in the West Region and #15 in the nation.

\nJoe Gillespie Invitational: Friday, April 17 (Stephenville, Texas)
\nMeanwhile back in Texas, the Mavericks recorded five first-place finishes on opening day of the Joe Gillespie Invitational, hosted by Tarleton State. Justina Lusby<\/a> won the women’s 3K steeplechase with a personal best time of 11:25.41 and Kellen Frickel<\/a> won the men’s 3K steeplechase in 9:27.53. Angel Sanchez<\/a> won the men’s 5000m, recording a new personal best of 14:48.14. Emilia Mandl<\/a> earned first in the women’s 1500m in 4:31.49 and Abigail Perez<\/a> won gold in the women’s 5000m, clocking 18:11.66.
