Texas A&M baseball<\/a>\u2019s offense continues to roll as it takes Game 1 over LSU\u00a0Friday, 10-4.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

After striking first with one run in the third inning, the Aggies (28-7, 9-5 SEC) scored three runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings to run away from the Tigers. They added\u00a0three more in the eighth and ninth innings to separate.<\/p>\n

A&M hit three home runs, with freshman right fielder Jorian Wilson accounting for two. The team finished with 12 hits. Every player reached base in the game.<\/p>\n

The Aggies are now 27-1 in games this season when they lead after the sixth inning.<\/p>\n

A&M\u2019s starting pitcher, Shane Sdao, had his best outing of SEC play but left the game with two runners on base. One run scored with reliever Gavin Lyons on the hill, closing the book on Sdao.<\/p>\n

The lefty lasted 4\u2154 innings, allowing two runs on six hits. He struck out four and walked one on 74 pitches.<\/p>\n

Lyons had a strong outing as well, going 2\u2153, allowing one run, four hits and tallying four strikeouts.<\/p>\n

Tigers\u2019 starting pitcher, Casan Evans, was strong early but faded when the Aggies\u2019 lineup came back around. The righty lasted five innings, striking out eight, giving up seven hits, six runs and three walks on 103 pitches.<\/p>\n

Next up for the Aggies is 7 p.m. Saturday as they look to take the road series win with right-hander Aiden Sims on the mound.<\/p>\n

Kiel got the frame started with a double, followed by Wilson blasting a no-doubt home run, his second of the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Arrambide singled, followed by a Milam double that put two on with no outs. Then a high chopper to Partida was air-mailed into the stands, driving home a run and ending Lyons’ outing.<\/p>\n

The Aggies turned to reliever Ethan Darden, who allowed a run on a sac fly to center field.<\/p>\n

Grahovac poked a two-out blooper to right-center field to extend the frame. Sorrell drew a walk, and Hacopian was hit by a pitch in the face and exited the game, loading the bases. From there, a wild pitch drove in the Aggies’ eighth run of the night.<\/p>\n

Lyons was in cruise control, retiring LSU hitters in nine pitches with two strikeouts.<\/p>\n

Partida slapped a one-out single through the right side. but that was the only offense A&M had in the frame as it went down with three strikeouts.<\/p>\n

A two-out single by Pearson was the only offense the Tigers mustered in the inning as Lyons struck out one in the frame.<\/p>\n

Kiel got a lead-off single, which led to Wilson blasting a two-run home run to straightaway center field at 106 MPH. The blast ended Evans’ night, and the Tigers turned to reliever Grant Fontenot.<\/p>\n

From there, Grahovac blasted a two-out solo shot to center field, marking the second home run of the inning.<\/p>\n

Curiel blooped a one-out single over the second baseman, followed by Brown’s two-out single to right field to put runners at the corners, and ended Sdao’s day.<\/p>\n

Reliever Gavin Lyons got the ball and gave up a hit through the right side into a vacant space due to the shift, driving in LSU’s second run.<\/p>\n

Harrison led off the inning with his second walk of the night before Sorrell hit a two-out single to center field. From there, Hacopian slapped a single up the middle to push across a run and give the Aggies the lead. Then, Duer slapped a two-out, two-strike single to drive in two and push the A&M lead to 4-1.<\/p>\n

A one-out solo shot to left field by\u00a0Milam has tied the game at 1-1. From there, Serna hit a double, but Sdao tightened up and got out of the jam.<\/p>\n

A two-out walk for Kiel was the only offense in the inning as both pitchers have looked strong early.<\/p>\n

Another 1-2-3 inning for Sdao, with three flyouts.<\/p>\n

Harrison worked a lead-off walk before Kellner blooped a single to center field and put two on the corner with the top of the order back up at the plate. From there, Grahovac struck out before a fielder’s choice off the bat of Sorrell drove Harrison home.<\/p>\n

A two-out walk was all the offense the Tigers could muster.<\/p>\n

Aggies go down in order in just 10 pitches.<\/p>\n

Stanfield ripped a one-out single up the middle, followed by Arrambide’s single, which put two on the corners with two outs. But Milam popped out to the pitcher’s mound to end the threat.<\/p>\n

A two-out single by Hacopian was the Aggies’ only offense in the frame. Grahovac, Sorrell and Duer all struck out swinging.<\/p>\n
