Here we have a customer in a bookstore telling another patron, “I can’t afford food, housing, energy or healthcare. My retirement plan is hoping AI destroys humanity before I hit 65.”<\/p>\n
So, the cartoonist hopes to make his salary by illustrating abject hopelessness. And of course, our Dallas Morning News editorial staff, infused as they are with a case of Trump Derangement Syndrome ennui, clomped on this cartoon like a big old bass.<\/p>\n

According to the story, the power lines are needed partly to \u201celectrify the oil rich Permian Basin.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n However, ERCOT\u2019s own study indicates that fanciful green hydrogen and crypto currency electrical loads make up 40% of the estimated electrical demand growth that the Permian Basin Reliability Plan is based on. The sketchy electrical demand data attempting to justify these unproven power lines must be reviewed.\u00a0<\/p>\n Plans for any 765-kV lines based on ERCOT\u2019s Permian Basin Reliability Plan should be placed on hold immediately.\u00a0<\/p>\n Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n Legal immunity \u00a0<\/p>\n Electricity service providers usually will not build their high voltage lines without legal immunity from damage claims. Because the president now in office has delivered his own stream of profanity, public threats against political opponents and behavior that even some Republicans have publicly questioned \u2014 on all three of Skaggs\u2019 own measures. \u00a0<\/p>\n Consistency isn\u2019t a partisan virtue \u2014 it\u2019s a basic one. If physical, mental and moral fitness mattered enough to write about in July 2024, they should matter now. We have about 12 letters devoted to the fact that President Donald Trump used profane language in a social media post expressing his frustration with Iran.\u00a0<\/p>\n Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n Iran has executed thousands of its own people in recent years if they dare to show any dissent to its tyrannical rule. Iranian leaders have threatened the world with their stockpile of enriched uranium that can be used to make a nuclear bomb.\u00a0<\/p>\n Apparently, none of this behavior compares with Trump using profanity on Easter Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n He can\u2019t lose\u00a0<\/p>\n I see that President Donald Trump is blockading the Strait of Hormuz, just like the ayatollah has. I\u2019m beginning to understand his strategic plan.
