<\/p>\n LUBBOCK, Texas (April 18, 2026) \u2013 Ashlinn Hamilton<\/a> homered twice and drove in seven run on the days to help power Lubbock Christian University’s comeback from a 6-0 deficit in a 12-6 win, and Lexi Clark<\/a> followed with a pitching gem in a 6-2 victory to complete a Lone Star Conference doubleheader sweep over Texas A&M-Kingsville Friday at Maner Park. \nGAME 1
\nLCU erupted for 12 unanswered runs to rally past Texas A&M-Kingsville for a 12-6 victory in the opening game of the doubleheader. The Lady Chaparrals (21-19, 17-13 LSC) overcame an early six-run deficit behind a powerful offensive display that featured two home runs and 11 hits, while Texas A&M-Kingsville fell to 26-14 overall and 21-9 in conference play.

\nReese Farrar<\/a> (1-0) earned the win in relief, delivering three shutout innings while allowing no hits and striking out two. Marianna Zumerle (2-2) was charged with the loss for the Javelinas. LCU was paced offensively by Coryn Burris<\/a>, who went 2-for-2 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored, while Ashlinn Hamilton<\/a> drove in three runs with a go-ahead homer. Brianna Chambers-Lee<\/a> added a pair of hits and two RBI, and Alexis Pacheco<\/a> drove in three runs. Texas A&M-Kingsville was fueled early by home runs from Kennia Chong, Maria Valls Raya and Lainee Ballin, accounting for all six of their runs.

\nHOW IT HAPPENED
\nTexas A&M-Kingsville seized momentum in the second inning, stringing together five hits, including a two-run home run from Chong and a two-run blast from Valls Raya to take a 4-0 lead. The Javelinas added two more runs in the third on Ballin’s two-run homer to extend the advantage to 6-0.

\nLubbock Christian responded emphatically in the bottom half of the third inning. Alexis Pacheco<\/a> led off the rally with a double, and after a walk and a strikeout, Chambers-Lee delivered a two-run double down the right-field line. Hamilton followed with a three-run home run to right, and Burris capped the six-run frame with a solo shot to tie the game at 6-6.

\nAfter a scoreless fourth, LCU took control in the fifth. Chambers-Lee singled to start the inning, and Burris was hit by a pitch before Kenzie Kauk<\/a> loaded the bases with a single. Piper Garcia<\/a> drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in the go-ahead run, and Pacheco added an RBI fielder’s choice. Pinch hitter Julie Muniz<\/a> extended the lead with an RBI single to make it 9-6.

\nThe Lady Chaps added insurance in the sixth inning, highlighted by Burris’ RBI single and a two-run single from Pacheco to push the lead to 12-6.

\nFarrar took over in the circle in the fifth and shut the door on the Javelinas, retiring nine consecutive batters to close the game, including a perfect seventh inning to secure the comeback victory.

\nLCU rode a pair of big swings from Ashlinn Hamilton<\/a> and a strong outing in the circle from Lexi Clark<\/a> to secure a 6-2 win over Texas A&M-Kingsville in the second game to help LCU sweep the doubleheader.

\nThe Lady Chaparrals (22-19, 18-13 LSC) finished with nine hits and broke the game open with a four-run fifth inning, while Texas A&M-Kingsville, swept in a doubleheader for only the third time this season, dropped to 26-15 overall and 21-10 in conference play.

\nClark (8-7) earned the win, tossing 5.2 innings and allowing one run on six hits while striking out eight. Kendall Ward<\/a> closed the game, allowing one run over the final 1.1 innings with three strikeouts. Kailee Silva (3-3) took the loss for the Javelinas, surrendering four runs on seven hits over four innings.

\nHamilton led LCU offensively, going 2-for-3 with a home run, double and four RBI, while Kadin Vire<\/a> reached base three times and scored twice. Coryn Burris<\/a> added a two-RBI single, and Kenzie Kauk<\/a> recorded a pair of hits. Texas A&M-Kingsville was led by Alaunah Almaraz, who went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Kennia Chong added a double and Victoria Vargas scored a run.

\nLubbock Christian struck first in the opening inning, as Vire doubled to right field and Hamilton followed with a two-run home run to center to give the Lady Chaps a 2-0 lead.

\nClark settled in early, working around traffic in the first three innings while striking out five to keep the Javelinas off the scoreboard. Texas A&M-Kingsville broke through in the fourth, when Chong doubled and later scored on an RBI single from Ella Srubar to trim the deficit to 2-1.

\nLCU responded in the fifth with the decisive rally. Cat Prisock<\/a> led off with an infield single, and Riley Flores<\/a> followed with a walk. After a pitching change, Vire drew a walk to load the bases. Hamilton delivered again with a two-run double to left-center, extending the lead to 4-1. Two batters later, Burris lined a single up the middle to drive in two more runs, pushing the advantage to 6-1.

\nClark carried the Lady Chaps into the sixth before Ward entered in relief and combined to limit the Javelinas to just two runs. Texas A&M-Kingsville added a run in the seventh on an RBI single from Almaraz, but Ward closed the door with a strikeout to end the game and complete the doubleheader sweep.

\n\u00bb Lexi Clark<\/a> struck-out eight batters, for a career-high mark for the freshman. It matches an eight-strikeout performance by Natalee Gray<\/a> from Feb. 15 at Midwestern State, as the highest strikeout total in a game this season by a Lady Chap. Outside of the eight strikeouts, Clark induced seven fly-outs and two groundouts.

\n\u00bb Ashlinn Hamilton<\/a> had her team-leading ninth multi-RBI game of the season, posting her third 4-RBI performance of the season. She went 2-for-3 in the game to complete the doubleheader 3-for-6 with a double and two home runs. The home runs (one in each game) place her with six on the season and 13 in her career. She posted seven RBI on the day and 3-for-3 on the day with runners in scoring position.

\nLCU sweeps the Javelinas for the first time since Mar. 18, 2016 and improves to 11-8 all-time against TAMUK. LCU is 4-5 against the Javelinas at home all-time. With the completion of the doubleheader, LCU and TAMUK’s last seven meetings have been in Lubbock.\u00a0\u00a0
