A missing person case turned into a homicide investigation and an arrest in Fort Worth, according to a release from Fort Worth police.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Fort Worth Police Missing Persons Unit was notified Tuesday about a person who did not return home from work the previous day, the release said. Officers found the missing person’s car at a Quality Inn in Arlington, located at 121 East Interstate 20.\u00a0<\/p>\n
On Wednesday officers reviewed video surveillance from the motel and found an unknown person driving the missing person’s car shortly after leaving work, the release said. The next day, homicide detectives took lead of the investigation and identified the unknown person.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 34-year-old man was arrested on unrelated charges, police said.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Authorities found the missing person’s body in an open field Friday on the east side of Fort Worth, according to the release. Police said the man, who they say worked with the victim, confessed to shooting him and stealing his car.<\/p>\n
He will face a capital murder charge, according to the release.\u00a0<\/p>\n
