OCALA, Fla. \u2013 The No. 2 seed Texas A&M equestrian team fell to No. 4 seed South Carolina in the NCEA National Championship Final with a raw score decision, 1696.08-1473.00, after a 10-10 tie Saturday at the World Equestrian Center.<\/p>\n
The Aggies (9-6) got on the board in Reining behind Moriah McQueen’s<\/a> ride of 71.2 on Ben. In Horsemanship, the Maroon & White picked up a pair of points with scoring rides from Meagan Braun<\/a> (77.2) and Kendall Dirksen<\/a> (75.5) cutting the deficit to 7-3 heading into the break.<\/p>\n Texas A&M came out strong in the second half, claiming three points in Flat with winning rides from Kate Egan<\/a> (88.3), Grace Shipman<\/a> (82) and Devan Thomas<\/a> (85.3).<\/p>\n The Aggies continued their momentum into Fences, going 4-1 to even the overall score at 10-10 and force a raw score tiebreaker. Egan led the way with a 90.3 on Presley to earn MOP honors for the tournament. Alexa Leong<\/a> (86.7), Shipman (86.7) and Alida Treuting<\/a> (88) also secured points in the event.
