Fort Worth police arrested a man last Thursday who they say shot and killed his coworker, then dumped the man\u2019s body in a field on the east side of the city, according to a statement.<\/p>\n

Gregory D. Lewis, 34, confessed to the crime and faces a capital murder charge, police said.<\/p>\n

The victim was originally reported missing to police on April 14 after not having returned from work the previous day, according to the statement. Detectives later found the victim\u2019s car parked outside a Quality Inn off Interstate 20 in Arlington.<\/p>\n

Officers reviewed surveillance footage and found that someone, later determined to be Lewis, arrived at the motel in the victim\u2019s car shortly after the victim left work, police said.<\/p>\n

Police arrested Lewis on unrelated charges Thursday, then found the victim\u2019s body in the field on Friday, according to the statement. At that time, Lewis confessed to killing the victim and stealing his car.<\/p>\n

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.<\/p>\n
