{"id":256695,"date":"2026-04-19T09:55:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T09:55:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/256695\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T09:55:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T09:55:07","slug":"lubbock-lions-club-hosts-12th-annual-kidsfish-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/256695\/","title":{"rendered":"Lubbock Lions Club hosts 12th annual Kidsfish event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) &#8211; The Lubbock Lions Club is gearing up for the 12th annual Kidsfish event Saturday, April 25th. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The event starts bright and early at 7 a.m. and will end at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This week, the lake at Mackenzie Park will be stocked with approximately 800 pounds of channel catfish, giving kids plenty of opportunities to catch a fish or two. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Fishing license fees have been waived. Fishing poles and bait will be provided if needed. If you need a little practice, they will also have a casting Station for beginners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This event is completely FREE to the public. There will also be opportunities to win fun prizes. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">This is something any kid of any ability can enjoy. Organizers want to encourage parents and their kids to come out and spend some quality time outdoors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Please Dress For the Weather and Bring Chairs, Blankets, &amp; Sunscreen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Kids will be served lunch at 11 a.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kidsfishlubbock.com\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/kidsfishlubbock.com\/\">Register <\/a>here. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KCBD.
