{"id":257025,"date":"2026-04-19T17:09:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T17:09:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/257025\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T17:09:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T17:09:08","slug":"downed-power-line-forces-shutdown-of-i-10-lanes-in-san-antonio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/257025\/","title":{"rendered":"Downed power line forces shutdown of I-10 lanes in San Antonio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A downed power line has shut down both directions of Interstate 10 in the San Antonio area on Sunday, April 19, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BexarCoSheriff\/posts\/pfbid02b6nNXebq4NByoSDdVXM8Xxewi7pjjPXSzCg6RqFhcyP8Zs6yuJYvVC6jqW6FAWaNl\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">a Facebook post<\/a> from the Bexar County Sheriff&#8217;s Office (BCSO).<\/p>\n<p>Officials posted about the incident around 11 a.m., stating the &#8220;13000 block of I-10 will be shut down due to a downed power line.&#8221; CPS Energy is currently on scene and is expected to take about an hour for repairs, BCSO said.\u00a0The incident occurred on the far Eastside of San Antonio near FM 1518.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Please avoid this area and find alternate routes,&#8221; the BCSO stated.<\/p>\n<p>CPS Energy has been working on outages all night and morning after a storm rolled through the area overnight. About 67 customers are without power due to 13 active outages as of 11:30 a.m., <a href=\"https:\/\/outagemap.cpsenergy.com\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">according to an outage map<\/a>.
