Texas earned the following rankings:<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">33rd in urban interstate pavement conditions<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">21st in rural interstate pavement conditions<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">39th in urban arterial pavement conditions<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">12th in rural arterial pavement conditions<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">3rd in structurally deficient bridges<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">26th in urban fatality rate<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">42nd in rural fatality rate<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">41st in traffic congestion<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cMore than 42,000 of the nation\u2019s 618,923 highway bridges, nearly 7%, are still structurally deficient.
