HERRIMAN, Utah (April 19, 2026) \u2013 Houston Dynamo 2\u00a0extend their unbeaten streak to six matches in a row after earning a 1-0 shutout road victory versus Real Monarchs at Zions\u00a0Bank\u00a0Stadium today behind forward\u00a0Jahmani \u201cJJ\u201d Bell\u2019s\u00a0second goal of the season. The result also marked Houston\u2019s fifth clean sheet of the season, with goalkeeper\u00a0Pedro\u00a0Cruz\u00a0finishing the match with seven saves.<\/p>\n

Dynamo 2 remains the only team in the league to have conceded just one goal in 2026, but none from open play. The team also leads the league in shutouts (5) and ranks third in goals scored (15). Notably, Dos has totaled 26 goal contributions, with 12 different players already finding the back of the net.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the match saw defender\u00a0Eiji\u00a0Hata\u00a0make his first professional start, while forward\u00a0Alan\u00a0Martinsmade his professional debut in the 59th\u00a0minute after\u00a0signing<\/a>\u00a0on loan with Dynamo 2 on February 28.<\/p>\n

Cruz, who earned\u00a0**MLS NEXT Pro Goalkeeper of the Month**<\/a>\u00a0for March, was called into action in the seventh minute, denying a left-footed shot at the near post from Ruben Mesalles.<\/p>\n

Cruz delivered another crucial save in the 13th\u00a0minute after\u00a0standing\u00a0his ground to deny a chance from Antonio Riquelme.<\/p>\n

Forward\u00a0Arthur\u00a0Sousa\u00a0had Houston\u2019s first shot on target in the 16th\u00a0minute, receiving a pass from midfielder\u00a0Gilberto\u00a0Rivera\u00a0before dribbling into the box and firing a right-footed shot that was saved by Max Kervliet.<\/p>\n

Cruz was called into action again in the 37th\u00a0minute, making a quick diving save to his right to deny a close-range strike from Owen Anderson with his feet. Shortly afterwards, the Brazilian goalkeeper reacted again by leaping high to tip over a long-range shot over the crossbar.<\/p>\n

Attacker\u00a0Mattheo\u00a0Dimareli, who\u00a0signed<\/a>\u00a0a Homegrown Contract with\u00a0Houston Dynamo FC\u00a0last week, took his chances from deep in first half stoppage time with a powerful strike that forced Kervliet to get up high for the save.<\/p>\n

Dynamo 2 produced another dangerous chance in the 55th\u00a0minute when Mohammad pressured the Real Monarchs\u2019 goalkeeper, won the ball and nearly scored after his shot hit the right post.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dimareli almost put himself on the board in the 70th\u00a0minute after his left-footed shot hit the left post following a quick set up play by forward\u00a0Ausitn\u00a0Brummett\u00a0inside the box.<\/p>\n
