The pizzeria from Daniel Sorg and Townsend Smith<\/a>, two East Coast natives who met while working to open the original Sammataro trailer, first opened at Flo’s Wine Bar in the northern part of Tarrytown in 2023. Based on the strength of pies that most closely resemble New York City style, but with some rounded edges and char you might see on Neapolitan or New Haven styles, the pizzeria\u00a0 made the\u00a0Statesman’s Best New Restaurant List of 2023<\/a>. Allday also serves exceptional soft serve and a great Caesar salad and Italian grinder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They expanded from their wine shop window to a counter-service restaurant in Hyde Park next to Tiny Grocer and First Light Books in 2025, and Sorg tells the American-Statesman the new location in Northwest Hills will feature considerably more seating (indoor and outdoor) and a full bar, as the restaurant continues its evolution and maturation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The menu will reflect the offerings at the two current locations, with likely additions, but things are still a work in progress, as the restaurant probably won’t open until next year. Allday plans to offer hybrid counter and table service and will likely serve lunch and dinner several days a week at its new location, with the hopes to eventually expand to daily service.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“This is the first time we really get to stand on our own and shape the whole experience. The project has evolved alongside us\u2014we came down from the Northeast just trying to open a pizza shop however we could, and over time found our place in the community here,” Sorg told the American-Statesman. “We\u2019ve always tried to build something that feels like it\u2019s been there all along\u2014this is the first time we really get to fully realize that.
