{"id":258575,"date":"2026-04-20T23:16:13","date_gmt":"2026-04-20T23:16:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/258575\/"},"modified":"2026-04-20T23:16:13","modified_gmt":"2026-04-20T23:16:13","slug":"har-reports-a-record-number-of-houston-rental-homes-leased-in-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/258575\/","title":{"rendered":"HAR reports a record number of Houston rental homes leased in March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAccording to the April 15 Houston Association of Realtors\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.har.com\/content\/department\/newsroom?pid=2227\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">March Rental Market Update<\/a>, Houston&#8217;s rental market has seen an increase in leased listings.<\/p>\n<p>The projections<\/p>\n<p>For March, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.har.com\/content\/department\/newsroom?pid=2227\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HAR reports <\/a>there were 4,718 leased listings for single-family rentals on the market, a 15.8% increase compared to last March. The current listings for March set the record for the highest number of recorded homes leased in a single month ever recorded by HAR. For pending listings, there was an increase of 7.8% compared to last year, totaling 6,172 homes on the market.<\/p>\n<p>Lease prices in comparison to last March dipped by 2.1% to $2,242 from $2,290. Homes have also spent slightly longer in the market, from 43 to 47 days.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/1776726973_503_thumbnail.jpeg\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"visualization\"\/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.har.com\/content\/department\/newsroom?pid=2227\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">According to HAR<\/a>, the townhome and condominium market has also seen changes in March; 673 properties were leased this March, leading to a 12.4% increase compared to the 599 properties last March.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the rental market, the number of new listings for townhomes and condominiums has grown by 10.1% to 1,082 properties; last March\u2019s listing amount was 983 properties.
