{"id":258684,"date":"2026-04-21T00:42:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-21T00:42:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/258684\/"},"modified":"2026-04-21T00:42:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-21T00:42:07","slug":"texas-man-identified-as-hiker-who-fell-at-angels-landing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/258684\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas man identified as hiker who fell at Angels Landing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SPRINGDALE, Washington County \u2014 A 68-year-old Texas man died after a fall at Zion National Park on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The Washington County Sheriff&#8217;s Office and Utah&#8217;s Office of the Medical Examiner identified the man Monday as Gilberto Ramos, of Laredo, Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Ramos was hiking at the park when he fell from the chained section of the Angels Landing trail at Zion National Park in southern Utah around 2 p.m. Friday, the sheriff&#8217;s office said in a press release. Park rangers and local law enforcement agencies responded to the incident after reports from visitors.
