SAN ANTONIO \u2014 CPS Energy said crews were responding to a slew of power outages impacting upwards of 2,500 customers in the San Antonio area Monday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The response from the utility comes at the end of a day of heavy rain <\/a>that canceled major Fiesta events<\/a> and closed dozens of roads<\/a> in Bexar County amid a prolonged flooding threat.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Our crews are committed to restoring power as safely and efficiently as possible, but please know that flooded roads and hazardous conditions may impact their ability to access certain areas,” CPS Energy said in a post on X\u00a0<\/a>at 9:38 p.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Shortly before 10 p.m., the utility’s outage tracker said there were 35 active power outages impacting 2,921 homes and businesses.\u00a0<\/p>\n
