The devastated partner of the glamorous influencer who drowned during a Texas Ironman <\/a>has paid tribute to \u201cthe best person\u201d he has ever met \u2014 calling her the \u201clast woman\u201d he will ever love.<\/p>\n

Rodrigo Ferrari affectionately called Brazilian athlete Mara Fl\u00e1via his \u201cUrsa\u201d \u2014 Portuguese for \u201cshe bear\u201d \u2014 in the note shared online two days after her death, saying his love for her \u201cwill be eternal.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said he \u201cnever imagined feeling so much pain and sadness over someone\u2019s departure as I do now.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUrsa, you were the best person I have ever met in my life, by the way, you brought back my will to live, my joy and the twinkle in my eyes for everything that I loved and was erased, my health, my family, sport, my work with music and of course gave me a new family too!\u201d he wrote <\/a>Monday.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cYour light has shone on me and everyone around you and it will keep on shining from above. I hope one day everyone can feel real love like we did.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s something so strong, I can\u2019t explain, but it will keep beating inside me forever. Yes, my love for you will be eternal and you were my last woman in this life.\u201d<\/p>\n

He told his partner, 38, he would meet her in the \u201cnext season\u201d as he referenced one of her final posts, where she told <\/a>her legion of 60,000 followers to \u201cenjoy this train ride, which is life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you said yourself: \u201cEnjoy this bullet train ride that is life,\u201d he wrote.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd even with the speed of the machine, obscuring the landscape, look out the window, for at any moment the train will leave you at the eternal station.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fl\u00e1via vanished during an open-water swim in The Woodlands, a 200-acre man-made freshwater lake, Saturday morning \u2013 the first of three grueling trials that competitors face during the 140-mile race.<\/p>\n

Fire crews were told about a \u201clost swimmer\u201d at around 7:30 a.m., one hour into the pro-female swim,\u00a0KPRC reported.<\/a><\/p>\n

Volunteers on kayaks spotted an athlete go underwater while rescuers battled challenging visibility conditions before Fl\u00e1via\u2019s body was recovered just after 9:30 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Montgomery County Sheriffs confirmed that the victim \u201cdrowned while participating in the swim portion of the event,\u201d according to a\u00a0statement<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The office said its Major Crimes unit will continue the investigation \u201cper normal protocols.\u201d<\/p>\n

Luis Taveira, a family friend, claimed she had been battling ill health before the race, but officials have not revealed her formal cause of death.<\/p>\n
