The expansion requires additional volunteer delivery drivers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Volunteers will help reach homebound, elderly and disabled clients throughout Lubbock and Wolfforth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Meals are picked up on weekdays between 10:45 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. Most routes take about one hour to complete. Volunteers do not need to commit to a regular schedule.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Those interested can apply at lubbockmealsonwheels.org\/volunteer.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lubbock Meals on Wheels is a private, nonprofit organization that prepares and delivers hot, nutritious meals to people who are homebound, elderly or disabled. The organization began serving Lubbock in 1971.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">With help from 1,800 volunteers, more than 400,000 meals were delivered in 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Beginning May 4, the organization will deliver 80 routes in Lubbock and Wolfforth.
