FORT WORTH, Texas (WJW) \u2014 Police in Fort Worth, Texas<\/a>, discovered 480 pounds of liquid methamphetamine at the scene of fatal crash.<\/p>\n

According to a social media post<\/a> from the city\u2019s police department, officers responded to 1940 Delga Street on Thursday, April 16, where a van had crashed into an unoccupied vehicle parked on the street.<\/p>\n

Two men \u2014 a driver and passenger \u2014 were pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n

First responders investigating the scene found a large amount of an \u201cunknown chemical\u201d inside the vehicle.<\/p>\n

\u201cTen white plastic buckets full of liquid were found inside the car. The fumes from this liquid were very strong, but were contained inside this vehicle,\u201d the post<\/a> from the Fort Worth Police Department said.<\/p>\n

According to police, the liquid, weighing 480 pounds, field-tested positive for liquid methamphetamine with an estimated street value between $1 million and $3 million dollars, police said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe DEA Clandestine Lab responded to the scene to collect, analyze, and dispose of the hazardous materials,\u201d the post stated.<\/p>\n

A Fort Worth Firefighter who responded to the scene was hospitalized for exposure, NBC Dallas-Fort Worth<\/a> reported. He was expected to be released the same day.<\/p>\n

According to the outlet<\/a>, the crashed vehicle may have been part of a mobile meth lab traveling between Dallas and Fort Worth, and investigators are now working to learn more about the operation and trace where the methamphetamine may have originated.<\/p>\n
