CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 CCISD has named David McHugh as the next Head Football Coach and Athletic Coordinator for the Miller Buccaneers.<\/p>\n
McHugh comes over after serving as the Bishop Badgers’ Head Coach last season. The first-year head coach lead the Badgers to a 5-6 record and a playoff appearance.<\/p>\n
He’ll take over for Justen Evans, who left earlier this year to take the job at Denton Braswell after finishing with the most wins in Miller history. McHugh has a connection to the Buccaneers as his brother Matthew was the Bucs’ offensive coordinator under Evans in the 2021 and 2022 seasons.<\/p>\n
McHugh will look to navigate Miller’s drop down to Class 4A.
