George Robertson opens Texas Legacy Florals & Gifts on April 23, turning a lifelong passion into a new kind of floral experience for Fort Worth<\/p>\n

When George Robertson recently traced his family
history, he discovered that his great-grandfather once owned land in downtown Fort Worth. That
discovery gave new meaning to what had already become his most personal venture yet: Texas
Legacy Florals & Gifts, a floral and gifting concept rooted in heritage, beauty, and community \u2013
with a vision to restore artistry, care, and meaning to the floral experience.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, April 23, from 4 to 7 p.m., Robertson and his wife, Kathy,\u00a0alongside partner Ten Four Films, will officially open Texas Legacy Florals & Gifts with a grand opening soir\u00e9e and tri-chamber ribbon cutting at the newly transformed\u00a03701 Southwest Blvd<\/a>.
\u201cThis event is meant to be something we give back to the Fort Worth community,\u201d said
Robertson. \u201cWe want everyone, no matter who you are, to know they are welcome.\u201d
The evening is designed as an indoor\/outdoor immersive community celebration, featuring floral
installations, live music by American Idol-featured artist Cate Gartner, drinks and bites,
interactive guest experiences, and a tri-chamber ribbon cutting. More than 200 guests have
already RSVP\u2019d, including leaders from Fort Worth hospitality, events, business, and civic
circles.<\/p>\n

Robertson, named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Fort Worth Business Press in 2015, has
spent more than four decades building and scaling businesses across healthcare, retail, and
restaurants. But he describes Texas Legacy as something different \u2014 not just in category, but in
calling.
\u201cMy hope and heart behind Texas Legacy is to continue living a productive life of giving back to
others and leaving a legacy of community through a lifelong passion for beauty through flowers,\u201d
said Robertson. \u201cWe want to create something marked by excellence, integrity, and genuine
care for people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Texas Legacy Florals & Gifts blends the elegance of European floral artistry with the warmth of
Texas heritage, offering elevated everyday florals and gifts alongside custom work for weddings,
large-scale events, corporate interiors, film sets, and more. The shop is already drawing
attention in west Fort Worth, where a new mural of a cowboy holding a bouquet has become a
conversation piece for passersby and neighbors alike.<\/p>\n

This is also the first business venture Kathy Robertson has joined her husband in after decades
of watching from the sidelines.
\u201cIt has been such a joy to watch him come alive in it,\u201d she said. \u201cTexas Legacy feels personal.\u201d
That heart for service is already taking shape. Even before officially opening, Texas Legacy has
donated florals to retirement communities and contributed to causes including an upcoming
Samaritan House fundraiser.
The Robertsons also have a long history of community investment in Fort Worth and abroad,
having helped found Project 4031 and Core Discipleship.
The grand opening will also offer a first glimpse at a broader vision for Texas Legacy \u2014 one
centered on beauty, creativity, welcome, and community gathering.
