EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 An El Paso Police Department officer has been arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.<\/p>\n

According to jail records, Jasson Medina Rivera was arrested last Friday, April 17, for DWI and was released the same day after posting a $2,500 bond. <\/p>\n

In a statement emailed to KFOX14\/CBS4 on Tuesday, the El Paso Police confirmed he is an EPPD officer and has been relieved of his duties.<\/p>\n

“Yes, he is an EPPD officer, and he has been relieved of duty,” an EPPD spokesperson said. <\/p>\n

KFOX14\/CBS4 has requested an arrest report to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the arrest. <\/p>\n
