Police say the suspect ran away after allegedly harming a cat in the Fort Worth Street area.<\/p>\n
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Officers were called to the area around 3:24 p.m. for a report of a suspicious person.<\/p>\n
When they arrived, police were told a man used a knife to injure a cat. The cat later died from its injuries.<\/p>\n
The suspect then left the scene on foot, heading toward Hamlin Drive and Staples Street.<\/p>\n
Officers recovered the cat and turned it over to Animal Care Services.<\/p>\n
Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male with brown hair, unknown age, with tattoos on both arms and his neck. He was wearing black pants and a blue shirt.<\/p>\n
Corpus Christi police say the case is under active investigation. Detectives are working the case, and patrol officers are continuing to search for the suspect.<\/p>\n
