EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 Two women wanted on felony warrants were arrested Tuesday after El Paso deputies followed up on a Crime Stoppers tip and assisted state agents searching for a parole violator in Central El Paso.<\/p>\n
According to the El Paso County Constable’s Office Precinct Six, on Tuesday at about 10:30 a.m., deputies went to a local hotel in the 11000 block of Gateway West after receiving a Crime Stoppers tip about a wanted person staying there.<\/p>\n
Deputies located 35-year-old Anita Del Palacio of El Paso and confirmed through the El Paso County Sheriff\u2019s Office that she had three outstanding criminal warrants for abandoning\/endangering a child. Her total bond was listed as $4,500. Del Palacio was then arrested on the warrants.<\/p>\n
Later, at about 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, deputies responded to a request to assist Texas Office of Inspector General agents who were trying to locate 40-year-old Brenda Coronado of El Paso, who had an active parole warrant. Agents and deputies attempted to find Coronado at an Olive Avenue location in Central El Paso, but were unable to. <\/p>\n
However, as deputies were leaving the area, they saw Coronado walking at the intersection of Laurel and Magoffin. Deputies made contact with Coronado and took her into custody on the parole warrant.<\/p>\n
After Coronado was taken into custody, deputies found a plastic bag containing methamphetamines. Coronado was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility for the parole violation with a zero bond and for possession of a controlled substance, PG1 under 1 gram, also with a zero bond. <\/p>\n
