A man and a woman died after a shooting at a Benbrook home last week, police said.<\/p>\n

Benbrook police and EMS responded to a report of shots fired about 12 a.m. on April 14 in the 4200 block of Plantation Drive, police said in a statement.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman with apparent gunshot wounds, police said. Both of them were taken to Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.<\/p>\n

According to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office<\/a>, the man, identified as 39-year-old Cliffton Wayne Jones, died in the emergency room at 12:47 a.m. on April 14. Results of an autopsy are pending to determine his official cause and manner of death.<\/p>\n

The woman, identified as 46-year-old Lisa Speer Craig, was taken to the hospital in serious condition, and she died on Friday, April 17. According to the medical examiner, her death was a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the neck.<\/p>\n

Police did not release details about what led to the shooting, the relationship between the man and woman, or the identity of the suspected shooter.<\/p>\n

In a separate fatal shooting in Benbrook<\/a> on Friday, April 17, an elementary assistant school principal was killed, and a man faces a manslaughter charge, according to police.<\/p>\n
