ADDISON, Texas \u2014 The final remaining STIRR restaurant has closed in North Texas, marking the end of the Dallas-born dining concept\u2019s run.<\/p>\n
The Addison location \u2014 the last operating STIRR \u2014 served its final customers on Sunday, April 19. The company announced the closure in an Instagram post the following day, saying it chose not to renew its lease.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter an incredible run, we\u2019ve made the decision not to renew our lease at STIRR Addison, and yesterday marked our final day of service,\u201d the post read. \u201cSTIRR has been a special place for us from the very beginning.\u201d<\/p>\n
With the Addison closure, there are no remaining STIRR locations. The shutdown comes less than a year after the original Deep Ellum restaurant<\/a> \u2014 which opened in 2015 \u2014 closed its doors.<\/p>\n In its message, the company reflected on the concept\u2019s run and its connection to the community.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat started as a concept turned into years of unforgettable moments, relationships, and memories that we\u2019ll carry with us for a long time,\u201d the post said. \u201cWe\u2019re beyond grateful for the Addison community and every guest who walked through our doors and made STIRR what it became.\u201d<\/p>\n The company said the closure is not a farewell to the brand\u2019s legacy.<\/p>\n \u201cThis isn\u2019t a goodbye to what STIRR stood for, but a moment to reflect on how impactful the brand has been for our team and our company,\u201d the post said. \u201cWe\u2019re proud of what was built here and are excited for what\u2019s ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n Many people who responded to the post expressed disappointment, writing “I loved that spot” and “I hope you guys reopen in the future.”<\/p>\n STIRR was created by Dallas-based hospitality group Milkshake Concepts as a restaurant and bar \u201csuitable for all of life\u2019s gatherings.\u201d Milkshake Concepts\u2019 portfolio includes Vidorra, The Finch, Saaya and Serious Pizza<\/a> in North Texas as well as a couple of restaurants in Nashville.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Another North Texas staple is gone.
