{"id":261707,"date":"2026-04-22T21:12:11","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T21:12:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/261707\/"},"modified":"2026-04-22T21:12:11","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T21:12:11","slug":"bakery-company-with-over-20000-workers-relocating-hq-to-north-texas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/261707\/","title":{"rendered":"Bakery company with over 20,000 workers relocating HQ to North Texas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A bakery company with some household names is moving its headquarters to North Texas, joining the growing list of relocations in the region. \u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc.is relocating its corporate hub to Irving from\u00a0Horsham, Penn., which is north of Philadelphia \u2014 in a move that supports its long-term growth strategy, it said in a statement. \u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>The new home base benefits from its central location and a closer proximity to Grupo Bimbo, its parent company in Mexico City, strengthening collaboration and enabling faster, more integrated decision\u2011making across operations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bimbo Bakeries USA is a massive player in its industry \u2014 with its brands including Sara Lee, Oroweat, Thomas (English muffins) and Entenmann&#8217;s. It counts roughly 20,000 employees and has over 50 manufacturing locations in the country.\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>\u201cRelocating our headquarters to Dallas positions us to operate more efficiently as we continue to invest in our brands and our communities,\u201d said Greg Koehrsen, president, in the statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Dallas-Fort Worth area has continued to enjoy business relocations, as companies are drawn by the talent pool, locale and other factors. North Texas gained a net of 11 new headquarters from out of state last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/article\/d-fw-major-destination-hq-relocations-2025-22212281.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">according to a report by real estate firm CBRE<\/a> \u2014 a bigger influx than any other U.S. metro area. \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Public Storage \u2014 the provider of extra space for customers \u2014 filed paperwork to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/business\/local-companies\/2026\/02\/13\/californias-public-storage-relocating-headquarters-to-north-texas\/\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">move its headquarters<\/a> from Southern California to Frisco.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bimbo USA\u2019s history in Texas started in the late 1990s, when Grupo Bimbo entered the U.S. market with the acquisition of Mrs. Baird\u2019s Bakery.
