AUSTIN, Texas \u2014 Law enforcement officials have given the \u201call-clear\u201d after Westwood High School in northwest Austin was evacuated due to a bomb threat on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
In a letter to families, Principal Erin Campbell said the call appeared to be part of a more widespread series of \u201cswatting\u201d incidents affecting several school districts.<\/p>\n
Students and staff were immediately evacuated to the Warrior Bowl following the threat, and police and fire officials were notified, Campbell said.<\/p>\n
Police gave the all-clear following a thorough sweep of the campus buildings. All students and staff were able to return inside after about 35 minutes.<\/p>\n
