(KKTV) -An evacuation order and a pre-evacuation warning are in place for a fire burning just north of Hanover late Wednesday afternoon. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The evacuation order was issued by the El Paso County Sheriff\u2019s Office just after 6:44 p.m. for Hammer Road east to South Peyton Highway and Myers Road north to Squirrel Creek. Residents in the area are asked to evacuate now. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Evacuation order\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/YHFUUYOXONHXRJRQ4SQMXRAUVQ.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"540\" \/>Evacuation order(PeakAlert)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Deputies say the fire is located near Hammner Road and Hanover Road. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A pre-evacuation warning is also in place for Hammer Road east to South Peyton Road and Squirrel Creek Rd north to Clements.
