Honor those no longer with us at D\u00eda de Muertos ofrendas, celebrations, performances, festivals, and more events around Greater Houston this week through Sunday, November 2, 2025. <\/p>\n
The Day of the Dead, a Latin American tradition originating in Mexico, is an annual event traditionally spanning the first two days of November when families take to remember their ancestors and loved ones who have passed.<\/p>\n
In honoring them, families create ofrendas, or altars, that are decorated by the person\u2019s favorite foods, drinks, photos and memorabilia to encourage the spirits to visit and keep their memories alive. <\/p>\n
Across the city, communities and Houston\u2019s signature institutions will host D\u00eda de los Muertos events that honor the tradition and pay respects to the city\u2019s dearly departed.<\/p>\n
We\u2019ve gathered over 20 of these events taking place across the Greater Houston area, where you can join in on community ofrendas, take in the city\u2019s rich Mexican culture, and enjoy tasty treats and artisan crafts.<\/p>\n
D\u00eda de los Muertos 2025\u00a0Events in Greater Houston<\/p>\n Blanket Bingo: D\u00eda de los Muertos at Market Square Park<\/a> | Thursday \u2013 Play 9 rounds with music, prizes, and festive fun. Honor loved ones with free photo printing at the unveiling of a community ofrenda\u2014on view through Monday, November 3. $10 on arrival for bingo packs, expected to sell out. 6pm to 9pm.
