Most of the playoff spots around the area are solidified but here are some districts to keep tabs on who either haven\u2019t finalized their playoff representatives or even have some district titles coming down to the wire.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-channels-pixel.ex.co\/events\/0012000001fxZm9AAE?integrationType=DEFAULT&amp;template=design%2Farticle%2Fplatypus_two_column.tpl\" alt=\"\" class=\"x1px y1px vh abs\" aria-hidden=\"true\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\"\/><\/p>\n<p>All records referenced below are district records only.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>District 4-6A<\/p>\n<p>Southlake Carroll is one more Northwest win over Timber Creek from getting into the post-season out-right. Carroll\u2019s district schedule is done and the team currently has a half-game lead over Timber Creek in fourth-place.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Carroll and Timber Creek split the season series meaning a Timber Creek win on Friday will come down to secondary tiebreaker scenarios.<\/p>\n<p>District 5-6A<\/p>\n<p>Flower Mound Marcus and Coppell entered this week in an essential two-game playoff series for the final playoff spot in District 5-6A. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/high-school-sports\/baseball\/article\/high-school-baseball-replay-dallas-area-tuesday-22218209.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Marcus\u2019 win Tuesday night<\/a> makes it very simple for them on Friday \u2013 win and get in.<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>Make Dallas News a preferred source so your search results prioritize writing by actual people, not AI.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/preferences\/source?q=dallasnews.com\" data-link=\"native\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"Add Preferred Source\" class=\"td300 cp f aic jcc disabled:cd wsn px24 y40px px16 py8 buttonSm fs13 xs:fs16 xs:buttonLg bg-primaryAccessible hover:o80 c-white disabled:bg-gray300 disabled:c-gray600 border bn tac br2\"><\/p>\n<p>Add Preferred Source<\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Coppell needs to try and win Friday and get some help.<\/p>\n<p>District 6-6A<\/p>\n<p>Right now, McKinney Boyd holds the inside track for the final playoff spot at 8-6 with Prosper Rock Hill and Plano East tied for fifth at 7-7.<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>Boyd wins one of its final two games against Princeton on Wednesday and Friday should solidify its playoff spot as it also holds the head-to-head tiebreaker against Rock Hill and Plano East, sweeping both teams earlier season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Plano East\u2019s final two games are against the current top team in the district, Allen, and Rock Hill plays McKinney.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>District 11-6A<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Cedar Hill (7-6) is narrowly holding on to a half-game lead over both Mesquite and Mesquite Horn (6-6) in third place with both Mesquite programs tied at 6-6 for the final spot. Skyline at 5-7 is currently in sixth-place but plays Horn to end the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>Duncanville beat Cedar Hill 12-7 on Tuesday leaving room for some last-minute shakeup. Mesquite has a tough draw against top-ranked Waxahachie on Wednesday and Friday, who have already wrapped the district crown up. Cedar Hill\u2019s playoffs are likely wrapped up win or lose vs Duncanville with a season sweep of Mesquite under their belt and wins over Horn and Skyline on the resume as well.<\/p>\n<p>To make things easy, Skyline has to win both of its games against Horn to secure the spot and hope Waxahachie sweeps Mesquite. Liberty is facing Frisco Emerson in its season finale, who\u2019s currently tied with Frisco Memorial for the district crown at 11-2 and Lebanon Trail just has to beat Frisco Independence one more time, who do not have a win in district this spring.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"uiTextSmall f aic jcc\">Article continues below this ad<\/p>\n<p>District 12-5A<\/p>\n<p>One district\u2019s first-place race has heated up with The Colony\u2019s win over Frisco Wakeland Tuesday night and Highland Park\u2019s win over Frisco Lone Star. All four teams still had a shot at the district title heading into the week but now Highland Park holds a half-game lead over The Colony and Wakeland with an 11-2 record.<\/p>\n<p>Lone Star is out of that specific race, but a win against Highland Park and the district could come down to a co-champion scenario depending on who wins the second game between Wakeland and The Colony.<\/p>\n<p>District 15-5A<\/p>\n<p>Red Oak (7-6) currently holds a half-game lead over Midlothian at 7-6 and a full game lead on Kaufman at 6-7.
