SAN ANTONIO – A threatening message referencing a possible school shooting, discovered in a restroom at Nimitz Middle School earlier this week, has been determined to be \u201cnot a credible threat,\u201d according to school officials and police.<\/p>\n
The message was reported by a student on the afternoon of April 20 after it was found written inside a girls\u2019 restroom stall. According to a letter sent to parents, the graffiti read: \u201cTiroteo Ma\u00f1ana 4\/21\/2026, chao perras, est\u00e1n listas perras,\u201d which translates to \u201cShooting tomorrow 4\/21\/2026, bye dogs, be ready dogs.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe immediately notified the North East Police Department (NEPD) and they are investigating,” said the letter.<\/p>\n
In a follow-up letter sent April 21, it was determined the threat was not credible. <\/p>\n
\u201cBased on information gathered, NEPD does not believe this was a credible threat,\u201d said the letter.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have reviewed camera footage and conducted interviews. However, at this time we have not been able to identify the person or people responsible.\u201d<\/p>\n
District officials said additional police officers were present on campus as a precaution. School leaders are also urging families to speak with students about the seriousness of threats. <\/p>\n
