Mack, Jack & McConaughey (MJ&M) is once again uniting the philanthropic efforts of former Texas Longhorns football coach Mack Brown<\/a>, country music artist Jack Ingram<\/a> and Academy Award-winning actor Matthew McConaughey<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The organization is hosting a fundraising gala for five nonprofit organizations dedicated to children\u2019s education, health and wellness at ACL Live Thursday, with rapper Jelly Roll performing at the event.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from this week\u2019s gala, golf tournament, L\u2019AGENCE fashion show and acoustic concert \u2014 headlined by Ryan Bingham and Robert Earl Keen \u2014 scheduled for April 23-24 will benefit\u00a0CureDuchenne, Dell Children\u2019s Medical Center, HeartGift, The Rise School of Austin and the just keep livin Foundation.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough those five different organizations, the common denominator is kids and either a health, education or wellness space,\u201d Jennifer Stevens<\/a>, CEO of JHL Company, which produces the annual event, said. \u201cBuilding awareness for these organizations that help kids and families is important to us, and we want to raise as much money as we can to give them the resources to help as many people as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Over the last 14 years, the organization has raised just over $80 million for its charity partners. The 13th annual fundraiser brought in more than $17 million for the five beneficiaries, marking 2025 as the most successful year in MJ&M\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

MJ&M<\/a> has also funded more than 2,800 heart surgeries for children through HeartGift<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy family was invited to go down to Bolivia on a HeartGift mission trip, where we rolled up our sleeves and worked day and night with a crew in a hospital,\u201d Stevens said. \u201cWe saw 27 patients over the course of four days for open-heart surgery. Working alongside the medical team, holding the hands of those families and seeing the real-life impact on a child\u2019s life that you\u2019re saving was incredibly rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n

MJ&M supports the Allergy Center and the Blood and Cancer Center at Dell Children\u2019s Medical Center<\/a>. The organization also created a resource fund to help families with children staying at the hospital cover expenses. They also fund occupational and physical therapy services at The Rise School of Austin<\/a>, along with scholarships and a music therapy program on campus.\u00a0<\/p>\n

CureDuchenne<\/a> focuses on Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a genetic disorder that primarily affects young boys and is often fatal in their late teens. Stevens said the research that MJ&M continues to support has extended the lives of those living with the disorder into their late 20s and early 30s.<\/p>\n

Matthew and Camila McConaughey\u2019s just keep living Foundation<\/a> runs after-school fitness and wellness programs in 45 Title 1 high schools across the country, serving more than 3,000 kids in 17 cities. The program boasts a 99% graduation rate.<\/p>\n
