Fire crews in Corpus Christi responded to a residential fire at 7713 Weber Rd after reports of a palm tree fire quickly escalated.<\/p>\n
The Corpus Christi Fire Department says when crews arrived on scene, they found a small residential structure, with nearby properties and hazards at risk.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Additional crews were called in and helped supply water lines stretching across Weber Road. Police shut down the road as the response grew to a second alarm.<\/p>\n
Firefighters worked together to contain the flames and protect nearby structures, including a large pile of tires and several surrounding homes. Officials say the fire has been brought under control, and a fire watch remains in place at the location.<\/p>\n
