The council skit featured actors dressed as the mayor and her biggest rivals huddled at the Bonham Exchange, a historic LGBTQ+ nightclub at the center of a heated recent council debate<\/a>.<\/p>\n Earlier this year, Jones and Councilwoman Sukh Kaur (D1) fought bitterly over differing ideas about how to save the venue from insufficient fire sprinklers.<\/p>\n While much time and money was spent litigating whether Jones\u2019 profanity-laced confrontation tactics should be treated as \u201cworkplace violence<\/a>,\u201d the Cornyation cast noted that the issue of fire safety at their \u201cbeloved\u201d Bonham remains unresolved<\/a>. <\/p>\n \u201cFear not, our sh**** administrators spared no expense to land a seven-figure sherpa to defuse this incendiary imbroglio,\u201d co-host Johnny Valdivia said \u2014 referencing the outside counsel hired to look into Jones\u2019 spat with Kaur.<\/p>\n Valdivia opened the skit by announcing it was \u201cback to school\u201d for a \u201ccouncil of delinquents, divas, drunks and dictators,\u201d who needed leadership training from Mamdani at \u201cthe storied Bonham herself.\u201d<\/p>\n Co-host Mindy Miller Hill said that with \u201ca city government in flames,\u201d the venue might be too dangerous. <\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s hard to stop, drop and roll with your head up your a**,\u201d Valdivia agreed.<\/p>\n The cast depicted progressive champion Mamdani trying to teach Jones how to say, \u201cI\u2019m sorry.\u201d The male actor cast as Jones tried \u2014 but gagged every time the words were on his tongue. <\/p>\n Meanwhile, a drag-Marina Alderete Gavito (D7) scampered around in high heels, and a drunk Ivalis Meza Gonzalez (D8) drove a car through the set. A purple-haired Kaur was shown carrying a dog so large it was played by its own actor. <\/p>\n (The real Kaur frequently carries her pup<\/a> in a sling at public events, while Meza Gonzalez had her second DWI arrest<\/a> just after taking office.)<\/p>\n A fifth actor appeared to roll District 10\u2019s past and present conservative council members Clayton Perry and Marc Whyte into a single beer bottle-headed character named \u201cMarc Perry.\u201d Both men were also caught driving after drinking while serving on the council.<\/p>\n Miller Hill called the overall Bonham Exchange \u201cbrouhaha\u201d a \u201ccase study in the power of leadership, comedy and a well placed f***\u201d \u2014 apparently referencing Jones\u2019 confession that she dropped \u201can F-bomb\u201d<\/a> while arguing with Kaur. <\/p>\n (Some City Hall insiders say Jones actually called Kaur a \u201cf***\u201d during a threatening tirade, while Jones\u2019 defenders contend she was merely explaining her point passionately.)<\/p>\n In the audience with her partner Tuesday night, Jones appeared to be having a good laugh.<\/p>\n Valdivia, meanwhile, said the overall incident was an \u201ceducation for all taxpayers great and small.\u201d <\/p>\n Throughout the night other popular skits depicted \u201cendless goddamn city construction,\u201d with Valdivia concluding that \u201cproject management is not this city\u2019s forte,\u201d and Miller Hill suggesting the downtown development effort known as Project Marvel could \u201crun the kitty \u2014 and our patience \u2014 dry.\u201d <\/p>\n City Spokesman Brian Chasnoff starred in another skit about the San Antonio Zoo\u2019s luscious new gorilla habitat<\/a>, which was compared to a luxury resort from the White Lotus.<\/p>\n The cast also devoted much time to Charlie Kirk\u2019s widow and Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk, who starred in an \u201cThe All-AmeriKKKan Halftime Show\u201d skit, and later reappeared in a Taylor Swift-themed set about the life of the \u201cpolitical showgirls\u201d behind President Donald Trump\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n The adults-only show will perform twice nightly on Wednesday and Thursday this week, but\u00a0tickets are largely sold out<\/a>.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Cornyation_Fiesta2026_DragSkitComedyShow_PoliticsHumor_06_04.21.2026_AmberEsparza.jpg\")
