CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 St. Pius Catholic School is preparing for its 23rd Annual Golf Classic, an event that brings together families, alumni, and community members for a day of fellowship, friendly competition, and fundraising support for the school.<\/p>\n
Principal Beth Hinojosa said the event remains an important tradition for the school community. The event is scheduled for Monday, April 27 at 8 a.m.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is our 23rd annual Golf Classic and we\u2019ll be doing this on Monday,\u201d Hinojosa said. \u201cWe\u2019re very excited because it\u2019s going to be at Oso this year. It\u2019s going to be a fun event, and it supports our school and our families. It\u2019s a great time for our community to come out and enjoy each other and enjoy some golf.\u201d<\/p>\n
Organizers say the tournament includes multiple prizes and activities for participants and supporters.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have a lot of prizes, I think about 19,\u201d Melissa Wenick said. \u201cWe have Yeti cups, gift cards, rounds of golf, and we also have a silent auction this year with really good prizes.\u201d<\/p>\n
While team spots for this year are already filled, organizers say the community is still encouraged to attend and support the event.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to thank our sponsors and all of our supporters this year,\u201d Wenick added.<\/p>\n
