Excited fans of the California headquartered \u2014 but Miami founded \u2014 for-profit thrift chain have been chomping at the bit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re a huge hit in Florida. So glad we\u2019re getting one,\u201d Chuck Sattelberg said, alongside numerous comments brimming with excitement. That same day, another excited shopper said they visit a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/business\/article\/red-white-blue-thrift-store-san-antonio-20222328.php\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\"> Red White &amp; Blue Thrift Stores<\/a> location in San Diego every time they visit their daughter.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a welcome addition to a strong thrifting and secondhand shopping scene in San Antonio, where any given store is teeming with bargain hunters just about every day of the week. Of course, the big discount days draw the biggest crowds.<\/p>\n<p>However, only a couple of major national brands have long dominated San Antonio\u2019s thrifting scene. With Red White &amp; Blue Thrift Stores operating nearly three dozen locations across 11 states, there\u2019s hope its first foray into the Alamo City could and variety into the city\u2019s secondhand market.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rwbthrift.com\/\" data-link=\"native\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"\">&#8220;Red White &amp; Blue Thrift<\/a>\u00a0Stores have been a trusted destination for second-hand shopping for over 60 years, offering high-quality apparel, home furnishings, and more at affordable prices,\u201d a spokesperson told MySA on behalf of the company that deems itself the \u201cbest thrift store in the USA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the company saying it puts out 10,000 new items daily, that\u2019s a lot of new preloved inventory hitting San Antonio shelves pretty quickly. Though, there\u2019s a bit of a cash catch. The new digs will be cash only \u2014 a fact met with varying levels of anger and indifference.<\/p>\n<p>While Yolonda Padilla seemed bothered, saying nobody carries cash around anymore, others dismissed this payment decision. In fact, some seem to prefer it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will still go. Cash in hand. Would rather pay cash than get charged the additional fee some businesses are charging,\u201d Stephanie Clark said.<\/p>\n<p>The company told MySA the cash-only policy was intended to keep prices as low as possible.
