But he emboldened local Republicans.<\/p>\n Bonner, a former Denton County Republican, wrote in an online message: \u201cIt is beyond baffling why any Republican would choose to associate, or frankly be caught dead, hanging around this organization.<\/p>\n \u201cTheir own website says they believe in \u2018faith and family values.\u2019 How exactly does inviting Jew-haters and white supremacists to speak further the gospel message?<\/p>\n \u201cAll of this,\u201d he wrote, \u201cruns counter to who we are as Republicans.\u201d<\/p>\n It does not win souls.
