A new bar is rolling initiative in the San Antonio space formerly occupied by Web House. Dice Drop Tavern<\/a>, a concept combining comfort eats, signature cocktails, and gaming, will open May 2.<\/p>\n

The spot is the work of Coby and Nikki Alexander. Coby was a longtime employee of Web House before its closure, and launched his Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) business from the site, according to Nikki.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis space has a ton of personal history, and we could not be more thrilled or honored to be stepping in and creating something new for the neighborhood,\u201d she says via an Instagram message.<\/p>\n

Nikki says that gamers can look forward to pub grub such as burgers, sandwiches, wings, and appetizers like poutine and fried pickles. The bar will serve D&D-themed mocktails and cocktails, along with dive bar standards and a couple of different types of mead.<\/p>\n

The Beacon Hill space was made available following Web House\u2019s closure following the death of its beloved founder, <\/a>Mikhail “Mischka” Timofeyev. The business was whitewashed, erasing its side mural and distinctive hand-painted sign.<\/p>\n

But the Alexanders are bringing some of that old magic back. For weeks, they have been working on a colorful building mural featuring a fighter, a wizard, and a ranger. At the center? A grumpy dragon protecting its loot.<\/p>\n
