A developmentally disabled North Carolina woman allegedly plotted to slaughter \u201cas many Jews as possible\u201d in a crazed attack on Texas\u2019 oldest synagogue.<\/p>\n

Angelina Han Hicks, 18, was allegedly one of three masterminds behind a foiled scheme to ram a vehicle into the Congregation Beth Israel synagogue in Houston \u2014 which the trio planned for April 21, 2028, Click2Houston<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conspiracy is to kill as many Jews as possible by driving through a congregation at the synagogue,\u201d North Carolina prosecutors alleged in court documents obtained by the outlet.<\/p>\n

Hicks was arrested on Wednesday, just one day after the FBI received a tip that someone in her area \u201cwas planning a mass casualty event at a Jewish Day School near Houston, Texas,\u201d according to FBI Director<\/a> Kash Patel.<\/p>\n

A preschool and elementary school sit on the same campus as the Congregation Beth Israel.<\/p>\n

The two alleged co-conspirators, only publicly named as \u201cAngel\u201d and \u201cTeegan,\u201d haven\u2019t been identified and remain at large.<\/p>\n

Hicks\u2019 father told KHOU 11<\/a> that the steep charges against the high schooler were \u201cway over the top\u201d and claimed the alleged plan was part of a \u201cfantasy game.\u201d<\/p>\n

He explained that his daughter is on a \u201chigh-powered medication\u201d and her mental development resembles that of a pre-teen or child.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe don\u2019t drive. She ain\u2019t got a car. She don\u2019t have guns. She don\u2019t know how to use a gun. She never shot a gun,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cHow\u2019s she gonna get to Texas? It\u2019s nuts what they\u2019ve done to her,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe never left us more than a day or two at a time, and that was with adults, not no teenagers,\u201d her mother added.<\/p>\n

Hicks\u2019 parents admitted that they know next to nothing about technology, but highlighted Roblox<\/a> as one of her favorite gaming platforms.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the Houston Police Department announced that a 16-year-old was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit capital murder related to \u201ca threat directed towards certain Jewish institutions in our area.\u201d <\/p>\n

Authorities did not cite Congregation Beth Israel\u00a0specifically or identify the teen as one of Hicks\u2019 purported co-conspirators.<\/p>\n

Hicks was charged with felony conspiracy to commit murder and felony conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon. Her bond was set at a whopping $10 million, in part to prevent her from contacting her alleged partners.<\/p>\n
