New Hope Dr., will bring specialty shops, dining experiences and even a Ferris wheel to the Austin suburb when it opens its doors Aug. 29.<\/p>\n<p>Iowa-based Scheels says the Cedar Park store\u00a0\u2014 its second in Texas\u00a0\u2014 will feature more than 75 specialty departments focused on outdoor recreation, team sports and fitness, alongside in-store attractions designed to draw families.<\/p>\n<p>Specialty services will include golf club fittings, bike repair and tune-ups, and archery equipment setup and maintenance. Trained staff assigned to each department will assist customers across a range of activities.<\/p>\n<p>Among the planned entertainment features are a 65-foot indoor Ferris wheel, arcade games and a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium. The company said these elements are intended to turn the store into a day-trip destination rather than a typical shopping experience.<\/p>\n<p>The location will also include Ginna\u2019s Cafe, serving soups, sandwiches and other menu items.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DXcALQ7DUt2\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Recruitment events<\/a> are slated for Friday, May 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, May 9, from 9 a.m. to 1\u00a0p.m. at the Scheels Career Center, located at 11044 Research Blvd., Building C, Suite 400. Applicants are asked to submit their application before arriving and be prepared for an on-site interview.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Scheels currently has 34 stores across 16 states, with the majority clustered in the Midwest and Southwest. In addition to the Cedar Park store, it also has a location in The Colony, outside of Dallas.
