Corinne Kostelaz won the 200-meter run for the Reapers, and the 4-by-100-meter relay team also picked up a win. For Sandwich, Sunny Weber won the 1600-meter run, Alayla Harris won the 100-meter hurdles, and the 4-by-800-meter relay team also took first. For Somonauk, Ella Roberts won the 100-meter run, Salena Norris won the shot put event, and Alexis Punsalan won the pole vault event.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"79\" data-end=\"681\">In girls track and field at the Indian Creek Invitational, Indian Creek placed second, followed by Serena in third, Hinckley-Big Rock in fourth and Yorkville Christian in seventh in a seven-team field. Elsie Betz won the 400-meter run for Indian Creek, the 4-by-800-meter relay team also won, Maci Davis won the discus and Taylor Edwards won the high jump. For Serena, Finley Jobst won both the 800- and 1600-meter runs, Madilyn Sterchi won the shot put and the 4-by-200-meter relay team also placed first. Zeta Fay won the 3200-meter run for Hinckley-Big Rock.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"683\" data-end=\"1109\">In girls soccer, Kaneland and DeKalb played to a 1-1 draw, Plano edged Mendota 4-3, and Oswego remained unbeaten after a 4-2 win in penalty kicks over Waubonsie Valley, with Jordyn Washington scoring both goals in regulation and Peyton Johnson and Mane Brolley converting in the shootout. Aurora Central Catholic defeated Rosary 1-0, Oswego East lost 6-3 to Benet Academy, and Yorkville was shut out 1-0 by Plainfield Central.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1441\">In boys volleyball, Yorkville defeated Romeoville in three sets, winning 25-16, dropping the second set 25-17, and taking the third set 25-18. AJ DiVito led with 11 kills, four digs and three aces, while Danny Knoll added seven kills, nine digs and two aces. Oswego East lost to Plainfield North in straight sets, 25-18 and 25-15.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1489\">In boys tennis, Yorkville fell 5-2 to Minooka.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1491\" data-end=\"2039\">In boys track and field, Hinckley-Big Rock won the Indian Creek Invitational, followed by Yorkville Christian in second, Indian Creek in fourth and Serena in sixth in a seven-team field. Caden Hageman won both the 1600- and 3200-meter runs for the Royals, while the 4-by-100- and 4-by-800-meter relay teams also won. Marshall Ledbetter won the high jump, James Arguijo won the triple jump, and Graham Long won the pole vault. For Indian Creek, Jason Brewer won both the 110-meter hurdles and long jump, while Amir Brown won the 300-meter hurdles.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2041\" data-end=\"2605\">At the Field of Dreams Invitational hosted by Plano, the Reapers placed second on the boys side, while Sandwich finished fifth, Somonauk sixth and Newark ninth in a 12-team field. Cameron Johnson placed second in both the 100- and 200-meter runs, Jayden Balingit placed second in both the long jump and triple jump, and the 4-by-100-meter relay team picked up a win. For Sandwich, Colt Li won the 100-meter run, Wyatt Gregory won the 200-meter run, Luis Murillo won the shot put and Jacob Ross won the pole vault.
