The second vehicle, driven by Michael Charles Proa, 55, was heading westbound on US 62, approaching the intersection with CR 3000, when Russell Jr.\u2019s vehicle pulled out in front of Proa\u2019s vehicle, causing the two vehicles to collide.<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.everythinglubbock.com\/news\/local-news\/serious-injuries-after-head-on-collision-east-of-lubbock-on-friday\/?ipid=promo-link-block1\" class=\"promo-link__link\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tSerious injuries after head-on collision east of Lubbock on Friday\t<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Russell Jr. was pronounced deceased on the scene as a result of injuries sustained from the crash. Proa was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with moderate injuries.<\/p>\n<p>DPS describes the road conditions as dry and the weather conditions as clear.
