The recognition reflects the Division\u2019s continued focus on reliable, cost-effective fleet services that support essential County operations.<\/p>\n<p>The NAFA program evaluates fleet operations on leadership, efficiency, safety, innovation, and workforce development. El Paso County\u2019s improved ranking highlights steady progress in each of these areas.<\/p>\n<p>The Fleet Division maintains vehicles and equipment used across County departments, helping ensure services like road maintenance and public safety operations run without interruption. By keeping equipment reliable and managing costs, the Division helps departments serve residents efficiently and responsibly.<\/p>\n<p>Recent efforts include expanding training and certification opportunities for staff, improving how data is used to plan vehicle replacements and control costs, and refining shop processes to reduce downtime. Collaboration with internal partners has also helped align resources and priorities to strengthen overall service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis recognition reflects the work our team puts in every day to keep County operations running reliably,\u201d said Chris Reynolds, Fleet Division Manager. \u201cOur focus is on supporting the people who depend on these services by maintaining a fleet that is safe, efficient, and ready when it\u2019s needed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jack Ladley, Executive Director of the Department of Public Works, added, \u201cThis improved ranking shows the value of consistent, well-managed operations.
