A new after-hours event is bringing a different kind of crowd to the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.<\/p>\n
\u201cClub Curious\u201d made its debut Friday night, offering a mix of nightlife and learning aimed at adults in their 20s and 30s.<\/p>\n
The event featured a night market, food vendors, drinks and interactive exhibits focused on nocturnal creatures found in the Coastal Bend.<\/p>\n
Organizers say the goal is to make the museum more accessible \u2014 especially for those who can\u2019t visit during regular hours.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo Club Curious is the perfect stop before your Friday night out,\u201d said Amy Frye, Corpus Christi Museum of Science & History Strategic Initiatives Manager. \u201cWe have a really chic night market\u2026 drinks\u2026 but there\u2019s also an educational element to everything as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
The inaugural theme highlighted local nocturnal wildlife, giving guests a chance to learn while socializing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a collaboration\u2026 to educate people on our local nocturnal ecosystem while also having a good time,\u201d Frye said.<\/p>\n
Event curator Emma Rodriguez said the idea came from noticing a gap in who typically visits the museum.<\/p>\n
\u201cI felt like there was a missing demographic,\u201d Rodriguez said. \u201cI wanted people in their mid-20s and early 30s to come back\u2026 and experience it in a more adult way.\u201d<\/p>\n
The event also served as a fundraiser, with proceeds supporting museum programs and community outreach efforts.<\/p>\n
Organizers say early turnout and feedback have been strong, with many attendees excited about the chance to explore the museum outside of normal hours.<\/p>\n
\u201cPeople are excited to come here after hours,\u201d Fry said. \u201cYou\u2019re never too old to learn.\u201d<\/p>\n
