MIDLAND, Texas \u2014 What appeared to be a Saturday morning crash is now a violent shooting investigation in Midland.<\/p>\n
According to officials, police were called to the area of West Loop 250 near North Garfield Street around 9 a.m. due to a crash involving a motorcycle.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, a 58-year-old man from El Paso was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital for surgery, where he remains in stable, but unknown condition.<\/p>\n
During the investigation into the shooting, officials said they learned the man was a member of the Mongol Outlaw Motorcycle Gang.<\/p>\n
Traffic was backed up for hours as authorities investigated the scene.
