<\/a>Michael Charles Proa, 55, was injured after a two-vehicle crash Friday morning near Idalou in Lubbock County, DPS said.<\/p>\n\nThe incident happened on U.S. Highway 62\/82 and North County Road 3000.<\/p>\n
\nDPS investigators said a 26-year-old Lubbock resident was traveling southbound on CR 3000, approaching the intersection with U.S. 62, where a stop sign controls traffic. Meanwhile, a vehicle driven by 55-year-old Michael Charles Proa was headed west on the highway toward the intersection with CR 3000 when the 26-year-old driver pulled out in front of Proa\u2019s vehicle, resulting in a collision. The 26-year-old driver suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.<\/p>\n
\nProa was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock for treatment of moderate injuries.<\/p>\n
\nThe crash remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
